Zorg en Hoop Airport International  (ORG,SMZO)  is the main gateway for tourism when it comes to domestic flights in Suriname. Located within 5 minutes from downtown Paramaribo,t he airport has a runway with a length of almost 500 meters. Currently this airport is used for domestic and international flights to the internal of Suriname and to regions such as Guyana, French, Guyana, Brazil and Trinidad and Tobago. These flights are mostly done with commuter aircraft with the largest capacity of about 30 passengers.  all local Airlines operating in Suriname are using this airport as their base, among those airlines are , Suriname Airways (SLM), GumAir and Blue Wings and  Suriname Tourism Network believes that this airport is essential to the tourism industry in Suriname and should be renovated to international standards having professional passenger terminals, night flights and a runway to accommodate small Jet Airplanes.
