Cher Marchand was crowned Miss India Suriname 2009 during a splendid glitter and Glamor show . She replace Pamela Mangroela ( Miss India Suriname  2008) who held this title over a year now. The beauty who was tipped by many to be the next Miss India Suriname 2009 was also ‘Miss Performance 2009′ en ‘Miss Photogenic 2009′.  With her being crowned as Miss India Suriname 2009 Suriname has a new ambassador with it to promote Suriname worldwide. Cher Marchand will represent Suriname at the next Miss India World Wide contest which will be held South Africa. Cher Marchand is the undisputed winner of the Miss India Suriname contest 2009.
