Kwana Eiland (Kwana Island in english) is an island in the van blommenstein stuwmeer. This Island is one of the most beautiful island on this great lake. Kwana eiland derives it name from the kwana fish which can be found in abundance in the van blommenstein meer(lake). If you want to visit Kwana island you will have a double trip first a bumpy ride over the paranam road of 2 hours heading for the Afobaka stuwdam, where you pick up a boat for a 2 hour travel to this beautiful Island. This Island is totally separated from the real world. Your only way out is by boat. But that will not be a problem for once you experience Kwana island you'd probably never want to leave this island.
